Warrant Division
The City of Tom Bean uses a program called "Omni" as a means to collect monies for all Class "C" violations. Omni is a subcontractor of the Department of Public Safety which allows us to put a person's Texas Driver's License on hold until the violation has been cleared. This database is statewide, which means that violators have been quite surprised when they get a letter from D.P.S. instead of the renewal notice, which states that their license cannot be renewed until the specific violation(s) have been cleared with the agency placing the hold. The City of Tom Bean also uses a program that will tell us where the person with the warrant works. So if you have warrants do not be surprised when we show up at your work to arrest you.
The old theory that this is a little town, or I'll never be back through there, no longer works. All Class "C" violations can now have serious repercussions for the violator.
If you received a citation and think you may now have a warrant from the City of Tom Bean, you can call the court clerk at (903)546-6321 or you may contact the court via e-mail .
It's better to be safe than sorry!
